I've had car's in the past and still do but this is the first car I've a pleasure of purchasing all by myself it was scary and my nerves we're on the edge but by George I did it, I love my car thought it was automatic but I'm still pleased with the outcome and Mr. Clint who delivered my vehicle nicest guy ever in car business I've felt with so again love it and you guy's are awesome... - Alan O.MAY 4, 20162014 Chevrolet Captiva SportTrussville, ALWe just purchased a 2014 Chevrolet Captiva LT with just a few hundred miles over 28,000, and I am very impressed with the Carvana experience. All of the interactions I had with the online staff were very professional and helpful, and the delivery driver was great as well. There are only a few little things that are drawbacks. First is that you really need to drive a similar car before you go down this route--I know Carvana has a seven day return, which is very generous, but still, I think it helps to sort of have an idea of what to expect before it's dropped on your driveway. We drove a similar model at a local dealership, so I knew more of what I should be looking for. Another thing is that despite the incredibly detailed photos and descriptions, there are still some minor scuffs and scratches and dings and things that just don't show up in photos, particularly inside the car. Although nothing we've found so far would have been a deal-breaker or made us want to turn the car back in, there were still a few more interior flaws than I was expecting. The one thing that was the biggest annoyance is that although the car showed up having just been washed at a nearby automatic car wash (I assume by the local prep staff), there were greasy or smudgy finger/handprints at every single door where someone had grabbed the paint instead of the door handle or window frame. It wouldn't have been quite so noticeable, but the car is metallic black, and everywhere there WEREN'T handprints was just gorgeous. I thought these smudges would be easy enough to get off, but after using several different products, I wound up having to use Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and an hour of intense upper arm exercise to get them out. This obviously wasn't something anyone thought about when it happened, but I would have been pretty perturbed if I wound up having to take it somewhere and have it machine polished. As it is, it looks like I've managed to get them off well enough and I'm still very pleased with the car. I believe I got a very good deal, and despite the few minor niggles, I would certainly recommend Carvana to anyone. I liked not having to deal with the sales manager and dicker over the doc fee and dumb markups and all the other things that make buying from a traditional dealer less than pleasant.Read More5.0 OUT OF 5

I accidentally ordered a manual car, and received notice from the deliverer the same day I was expecting the vehicle. They didn't deliver it because I can only drive an automatic. Mind you, the visibility of the transmission information is buried within text and thought it was an automatic. I then ordered an automatic car, which was delivered a day late (without any notice). This car couldn't start on two different occasions during the new purchase 7-day return period. I had to get a jump from Silver Rock and Carvana. I returned the vehicle immediately when they gave me the run around to get it repaired. My last hope was to order a SUV, however, while I was purchasing it online, someone else interfered with my transaction and all of a sudden, the car became unavailable. Magically that requirement went away. Withdrawing funds is a automatic electronic process for any other business, but not Carvana. In fact with all the phone calls I had to make, I grew nostalgic for the physical dealership experience. Carvana gave me the wrong phone number for the third party delivery service. Thankfully the person at that number knew the separate shipper that I should contact for more information. A packet of paperwork had to be filled out to transfer the title and register the car in my state. The packet of signed paperwork was delivered to Carvana February 29th. I have called since and been told to not worry and that it is being processed. It is now March 29th, and the temporary registration expires at midnight. Will Carvana drop the ball once again? Had decided on the car, just needed to research cost, options, color and find a stick since that's my preference. Carvana's inventory was plentiful and the details available online made it easy to compare year vs price and options. I viewed practically every inch of the car inside and out. Staying focused on my needs without a salesperson guiding me was exactly what I wanted. I was called on the day of delivery and told that it was a manual transmission instead of an automatic. I had to pick out another car and redo all the paperwork. They did get the car to me pretty quick and they were very apologetic. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I love my car and I will definitely buy my next car from them.Read More4.8 OUT OF 5

A few weeks later I discovered that the gas cap cover was not attached at one hinge, making it difficult to press in the little button that tells the automatic door that it can open. I made a mental note to get the gas cap serviced because Carvana has a 4189-mile warranty on such things. However, my life is very busy, and I forgot to get it done. Finally, I took my Sienna in to an Express Oil Change for an oil change and the tech showed me where radiator fluid was leaking out of the radiator. Also, he noted large amounts of dust in the engine compartment, indicating that the car had been sitting around for a long time. I called the SilverRock Warranty company that partners with Carvana and the discovered that my current mileage was 200 miles over the 4189. They checked with Carvana to see if Carvana would extend any grace to me; but no, Carvana declined saying I was outside of the covered period. Yes, it's my fault. I have two kids, two businesses, and I got super busy and didn't get the car into the shop on time. Could you do any better? If not, realize that Carvana is not on your side, doesn't care about you, and prefers to save a few bucks to gaining a potential lifelong customer. That's just bad business. THAT is the kind of company you are dealing with. They're selling inventory that's been sitting around dusty lots for months and they obviously don't understand that a bad review is far more damaging to their bottom line than a $200 repair job. What's amazing to me is that concept worked. I bought my car without the hassle of a dealership and it was delivered without problem on schedule. It's only after you take possession that the company mysteriously forgets that branding is an ongoing enterprise closely tied to customer service. - Gabriel M.FEB 24, 20182016 Jeep Grand CherokeeCuba, MOOur first vehicle had a cam sensor problem which delayed pick up by a week. The day after we got it the check engine light came on. We took it to a dealer and they said the cam sensor was bad and the engine could not hold oil pressure. We just picked up vehicle #2 and it has problems as well. The parking sensor is unavailable and the vehicle has sand everywhere to include the motors for all 4 automatic windows. Once again we have to take it to the dealer for repairs. This 2nd vehicle is also $1200 more than the first. I'm not sure why I can't just get a used vehicle with no issues. We are looking at more days without a vehicle to get back and forth to work and pray we won't go over our 7 day test drive, 400 Miles, and come out with owing money for repairs on a vehicle we haven't agreed to purchase. They were also very responsive when I found minor issues with my car. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star rating has to do with the overall inspection of the car done by Carvana . 3 weeks after i purchased my car and only 500 miles of driving my oil change reminder came on. I thought this was strange since I just bought the car. When I took the car to have to oil changed, I was told that the oil hadn't been changed in over 8 months. On the oil filter the date and mileage were written on the outside. It seems like changing the oil would be an automatic step when Carvana received the car and processed their inspection.
