The Acura RDX is a crossover that offers turbocharged power, excellent control and a comfortable ride. Acura is Honda's luxury line, and the RDX is now in its third generation. This means that you get Honda quality and reliability but in a more upscale style. Take a look at Carvana's inventory to see the RDX models and options that are currently available.
Power and PerformanceThe Acura RDX delivers turbocharged power with an available Super-Handling All-Wheel-Drive. It has a powertrain that is built for performance and still manages to get up to 28 MPG highway and 22 MPG city. Features such as Vehicle Stability Assist with motion-adaptive steering and agile handling assist make the ride smooth, even when the road is rough in inclement weather. It has sharp handling that allows you to grip the road on curves.
Comfort and AmenitiesHonda's luxury lines are known for comfort, and this is true for the RDX, too. The interior is roomy, and the seats are comfortable. It has an available 16-way power-adjustable driver's seat and power lumbar support. It also has a power thigh extension and power side bolsters. You can even choose heated front and rear seats.
Advanced Safety TechnologyThe RDX has the most advanced safety technology available, including a collision mitigation braking system and adaptive cruise control. It features a Lane Keeping Assist System, Road Departure Mitigation System and a Blind Spot Information System. Front and rear parking sensors will assist in detecting objects that you do not see and help you avoid a scratched bumper. Automatic high-beam headlights will dim when they detect an oncoming vehicle. The RDX also has a Rear Cross-Traffic Monitor that will help detect an approaching vehicle when you're backing out of a parking space.
Lazy Gear ChangesThe RDX has plenty of high-performance powertrain features, but the 10-speed automatic transmission tends to lag when changing gears. The extra gears were added to give it smoother shifting, but they make the gears seem clunky instead. The RDX can go from zero to 60 in 6.6 seconds, but the pedal seems less responsive at higher speeds.
Amenities Only Available as PackagesOne of the drawbacks of the RDX is that you cannot choose the amenities that you want individually. They are only available as packages. You can choose the Base Package, A-spec package, Advance Package or Technology Package, but you cannot mix features among them.
Safety Feature LimitationsThe RDX has advanced safety technology, but it is important not to depend on it entirely. For instance, the Rear Cross-Traffic Monitor might warn you of a vehicle, but it is not known if it has pedestrian recognition, too. Technology can help, but you should never rely on technology alone for your safety.
